Yes. San Diego Superior Court accepts online Traffic Violator School from DMV-licensed providers. Freeway Traffic School holds CA DMV TVS License E1745, which is valid statewide — including San Diego County.

You still need to be eligible, and your courtesy notice must say you may attend traffic school before you register. Look up your case on the Pay Your Ticket portal to confirm.

Wait for your courtesy notice — San Diego mails it about two weeks before your appearance date, and it will say if you're eligible. Once you have it, you can request traffic school:

• Online through "Request Traffic School" on the Pay Your Ticket portal
• By mail to your division's business office
• At your division's express drop box
• By phone, weekday mornings (8:30–11:30am)
• At the clerk's counter in person

San Diego Superior Court grants a one-time 90-day continuance to complete traffic school, starting when the continuance is granted — not the date your citation was issued.

There's no automatic extension beyond the 90 days. If you need more time or the fee is a hardship, contact the court about payment-plan options or submit an ability-to-pay request through MyCitations before your deadline passes.

San Diego Superior Court charges your bail plus a $52 traffic school fee, paid directly to the court. This is separate from any course payment when you pass.

San Diego assigns a court code per traffic division — give your school the code that matches your division:

• 37480 — Central Traffic (Kearny Mesa)
• 37440 — East County (El Cajon)
• 37465 — North County (Vista)

To be eligible, you generally need to:

• Have a valid driver's license at the time of the violation (out-of-state license holders may be authorized by the court and self-report completion)
• Have been driving a non-commercial vehicle
• Have received a minor infraction (not a misdemeanor or DUI)
• Have a courtesy notice from the court confirming traffic school is an option
• Not have used traffic school to mask a point in the past 18 months

It depends on the vehicle you were driving. If you hold a CDL but were cited in a non-commercial (personal) vehicle, San Diego Superior Court may still allow traffic school — the conviction won't be held confidential the way it is on a non-commercial license (it still shows on your record), but the court states that with traffic school completed it shows without a violation point. If you were driving a commercial vehicle, traffic school is not available for that citation. Check your courtesy notice and confirm with the court.

California limits traffic school to keeping one point confidential per 18-month period. The window is calculated from the date of the violation, not the date you completed the course. So if your violations are within 18 months of each other, only one can be masked.
